About the role
The Health and Care Professions Council is a UK-wide regulator, committed to delivering high quality, efficient regulation in order to protect the public. We regulate 15 professions, including paramedics, radiographers, occupational therapists, and biomedical scientists.
As a Facilities Officer within our Office Services Department, you will support the day-to-day operations of our facilities, covering a broad range of services. This role involves both practical and administrative responsibilities, ensuring our facilities are maintained to the highest standards. Our Facilities team plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings and services, supporting our mission to protect the public.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain all HCPC buildings to a safe standard.
- Engage with approved contractors to deliver contracted services.
- Support the proactive maintenance schedule ensuring high quality of work and value for money across both hard and soft Facilities Management services.
- To make good and carry out repairs and maintenance to HCPC premises as first response and escalating to Facilities Manager or suppliers and contractors as appropriate.
- Coordinate and support departmental projects whilst ensuring minimum disruption to core activities.
- Assisting with and responding to all audits and reports including statutory matters.
- Respond to emergencies across the estate.
- Maintain legal compliance of estate accessibility.
- Assist with fire and emergency evacuation drills.
- Organise required resources for all meeting rooms across the various estates.
- Able to specify, agree and order goods and services from existing or new suppliers and contractors to a value defined by the Office Services Management and HCPC Financial Policy.
- Manage the incoming and outgoing mail services for all departments including tenants using all relevant technologies.
- To understand the information security requirements for information accessed or processed in carrying out the duties of the role.
