Job description

We have an amazing opportunity for an exceptional individual with strong leadership skills to join our Hearings Team as a Hearings Team Manager.

 

You will be responsible for leading, motivating and managing a team who work independently and largely remotely to deliver a high volume of hearings. Central to the success in this role is building a strong team ethos and providing support and guidance to ensure the team delivers quality, timely and appropriate volumes of work. You will work effectively within a team and with your peers, to build and maintain positive relationships across a range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver excellent customer service and support all hearings participants.

 

Purpose and Main Duties

  • Managing and leading the performance of an independent and largely remote team by ensuring sufficient support, guidance and direction is provided and ensuring high performance of the team through coaching and support.
  • Controlling hearing risks through the undertaking of appropriate checks at all stages of the process, making recommendations and escalating high-risk hearings to Operational Managers.
  • Supporting the Operational Manager to promote and embed within the team a culture of continuous improvement and values that are consistent with the HCPC values.

 

Candidate Requirements

You will have experience of managing a team who work independently and have demonstrable experience of ensuring high performance of the teams you have managed through coaching and support. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work strategically and collaboratively to deliver shared objectives. You will have an understanding of healthcare regulation with  knowledge and experience of working within a tribunal/adjudication being an added advantage.
