Job description

This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an individual who is searching for a niche role, in which they can develop their unique skill sets and distinguish them self within the HCPC’s Fitness to Practise department as a key authority on Investigating Committees.

 

As the Investigating Committee Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading the day-to-day implementation of Investigating Committees. Your responsibilities include driving performance and autonomously addressing short and long-term challenges in this critical area.

 

Purpose and Main Duties

 

As the Investigating Committee Manager, your responsibilities include:

*         Leading the day-to-day implementation of Investigating Committees, autonomously addressing short and long-term challenges.

*         Providing leadership to the Fitness to Practice department, driving performance in case investigations’ quality and timeliness.

*         Developing efficient processes for forecasting, prioritising, scheduling, and tracking fitness to practise cases.

*         Collaborating closely with the Tribunal Service to meet the demand for investigated cases.

*         Conducting thematic analysis of Investigating Committee decisions and sharing insights for staff and panel member development.

*         Interpreting and applying relevant legislation, policy, and procedure, offering ad hoc guidance to HCPC staff and panel members.

 

Candidate Requirements

 

You will have strong experience in using data and management information to plan high volumes of work for a team, ensuring that capacity meets demand and any areas for potential improvement have been identified. You will utilise your ability to build positive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, to negotiate modifications to existing tribunal capacity and instil improvements to processes, which might form part of a different team’s workflow. You will have the ability to interpret and apply a framework of legislation, policies and guidance and have the confidence with your existing or quickly developing presentation skills, in order to present to panel members and HCPC staff, distinguishing yourself as a key authority on Investigating Committees.
