Job description
We are looking for an experienced policy professional to work on our regulatory reform programme. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a wide-reaching programme of organisational change involving legislative reform, the development of operational policy within our regulatory functions and consultation and engagement. Purpose and Main Duties
- Manage and oversee policy projects and workstreams that support delivery of the Corporate Strategy and department workplan and priorities, including regulatory reform and work on HCPC’s Standards and Guidance.
- Monitor policy, legislative and other developments relevant to professional regulation, with a particular focus on the DHSC’s regulatory reform programme, and identify any implications for the organisation.
- Be a part of the department’s leadership team and work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and manage the department’s workload, priorities and budget.
- Collaborate with team members and colleagues across the organisation to meet shared goals.
- Effectively engage and communicate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Present work to senior leaders and provide recommendations and advice
Candidate Requirements
You will be expected to have proven ability to work effectively in a policy, public affairs or regulatory environment. As well as a collaborative and organised approach to working and a excellent written and verbal communication skills.
We welcome secondment opportunities from other organisations.
