Job description

We are seeking someone to join the International Assessments Team as a Registration Officer. This role will involve working closely with HCPC Partners to ensure high quality and consistent international application assessment decisions are made, supported by comprehensive assessment reports.

 

As a Registration Officer, your primary responsibilities will include facilitating outcomes with international assessment partners, coordinating the scheduling of international Tests of Competence and Aptitude tests, and ensuring the fair and efficient progress of international applications.

 

Attention to detail, communication skills, ability to problem solve, use initiative and the ability to work collaboratively within a team, are important to this role.

 

Purpose and Main Duties

As a Registration Officer, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining high quality international application assessment decisions that are consistent and appropriate, ensuring international assessment partners apply standards and processes consistently, keeping within legislation and operational guidance. You will be expected to arrange Tests of Competence / Aptitude Tests, ensuring that they are delivered to HCPC requirements.

 

The position offers the opportunity to be part of the international team that delivers high quality, consistent and efficient international assessments, and services to join the HCPC Register.

 

Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate will need:

 

  • Proven, relevant knowledge and understanding of a registration, academic or quality assurance environment.
  • Proven ability to work within defined regulations, complex business processes, and recommend improvements where necessary.
  • Strong organisational, administrative and planning skills, including the ability to handle a number of tasks at once and deliver to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels, including giving high-quality presentations, facilitating group sessions, and advising and guiding professionals.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage and develop relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback on professional recommendations.
  • Strong analytical and complex problem-solving skills to ensure clear outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Proven ability to produce high quality written reports and present information in the most appropriate format and ensure accuracy.
  • Proven ability to gather, analyse and report on data, information and feedback in a timely and accurate manner.

About the Department:

We maintain the Register of over 330,000 health and care professionals across the United Kingdom. The Registration Department provides services relating to people joining the HCPC Register and maintaining their registration with the HCPC. Without HCPC registration an individual cannot lawfully work in the UK in one of the 15 professions we regulate.

 

The Registration Department includes six areas: UK Registration, International Registration, Renewal and continuing professional development (CPD) Team, Contact Centre, Quality Assurance & Training and Registration Appeals.
